production of woodchips directly in the stand
A mobile chipper is a fundamental part of the wood logistics. Thinning wood and wind- or snow-broken trees can be processed directly in the stand. Trees with diameters up to 50 cm can be handled. These vehicles are extremely versatile; intact stems can be reached easily. The woodchips are collected in the container at the back of the machine.
Harvest with caution
Mobile chippers are good for wood-harvesting with caution. With it´s versatile crane they reach every tree which was cut by forest workers with chain saws. The fall-direction is not so important because cabin and crane loader are fixed on a bogie. Such a vehicle is 12 m long and has a weight of about 25 tons. But with it's wide tyres the load on ground can be compared to a human being.
