"greenhouse-effect" by CO2

Creating the future
Carbondioxid (CO2) and other gases emerged by the incineration of fossil fuel take a negative influence on our climate (greenhouse-effect). The usage of wood does not lead to a higher concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere. This is caused by the fact that the CO2 , that has been set free during the incineration, is essential for the production of new biomass.

Green energy for the lifetime
In a continuous circular process taking place in our forests biomass in the form of wood is developed out of CO2 and minerals. The essential energy for the growth of the biomass is supplied by the sun. Wood is a natural and renewable raw material, that will be available for the human kind without any limits of time. Modern techniques enable the efficient and environmentally friendly usage of this renewable resource for all of us.

With resolution on the way to a stabile climate
The Federal Republic of Germany has committed to reduce the emission of carbondioxid until 2005 to a difference of 25 % at the basis of 1990. With the operation of the biomass cogeneration plant Pfaffenhofen has reached the ultimate goal to save the climate as the first commune in the whole federal republic. Already in these days the 22.000 inhabitants of Pfaffenhofen produce 32 % less greenhouse gases than the did in the year 1990, although the population figure has increased to more than 10%.
